Drøne are excited to be bringing EBM legends Nitzer-Ebb.com to Manchester for the first time since 1995. Britain’s Nitzer Ebb are one of the most influential acts associated with the EBM (electronic body music) scene, as well as alternative dance in general. Since the early ’80s, the group, led by enthusiastic frontman Douglas McCarthy, have produced an aggressive, visceral brand of electronic music influenced by German industrial and new wave groups like D.A.F. The group remains best known for the classic ‘Join in the Chant,’ a single taken from 1987’s That Total Age that has became a staple of dance clubs from Detroit to Berlin.
Support comes in the form of Liebknecht, a project of Daniel Myer (Haujobb, Rendered, DSTR).
Techno, Dancefloor Elements mixed with Dark Textures,
Cryptic Messages, Eclectic Experimental Sounds and Straight Forward Beats, always on the Edge between Oldschool Electro and Club Culture.
Daniel Myer’s new project Liebknecht combines his many aliases into a well composed vision of techno soundscapes. Taking his background from Rendered, Haujobb, Architect & influences from the current Clubscene, he has created an epic journey that is distinctly his own.
Liebknechts recent debut, ‘ICE Over Erfurt’ on Lenny Dee‘s techno imprint (Hard Electronic) has been getting support from Thomas P. Heckmann, Black Asteroid, Alessandro Adriani, The Hacker, among others.
